  1. so i went to samsung store today in dubai mall – uae to inquire about the official upgrade to ics for my galaxy tab 7.7
they said that it might never come to the uae and they have stopped selling that model. it was nice to hear after paying $650 for the device.
i recently switched from ipad to this tab because it had the right size but apple would never do something so unprofessional as to launch an expensive device and drop support a few months later.
Samsung, it is time to get your head outside of your behind and stand behind those customers who are buying your expensive devices.
Finally i upgraded it myself through odin, this is because i am a geek but you can never expect regular customers to do so. Shame!

  2. Hi all,
Has anyone in the UK downloaded the ics update for the p6800?
I’ve tried for the last month or so to download it and I have found no update to be available on Kies.
Until the 7.7 was removed from the current products on the Samsung UK website recently, presumably due to the court case in Germany, it was listed as still on android 2.3. Whereas other tablets are showing as having ICS.
I spoke to Samsung UK today and after three separate calls they told me that there is no update for the p6800 in the UK and they don’t know when it is available.
    Does anyone know otherwise?

  3. Well tried it, everything works smooth. thanks a lot,
simple and effecting instructions :) screen slides work better, also my tab 7.7 used to get reloaded, on 3.2. but using this update for the second day and I like it.

To be honest i am starting to dislike samsung, Apple truly supports its products, not like any other company.
    thanks again

  4. Excellent description, easy to follow, works perfect, even without resetting to factory settings. Just performed the upgrade and all programs still works and alle data kept. It would have been better if the download was not slowed down by hotfile. But bthanks anyway.

    1. Nice to hear that sir Henrik, anyway about the download, its the only option we can provide since we can’t afford to pay for a premium file hosting on this website. Best regards to Denmark.

  5. In my case i get FAIl message almost at the ending phase of ODIN…
I get error after the ODIN display HIDDEN in the box..
Can anyonme help me on this one…..

    1. Re-check and try everything – USB cable, USB port, Driver, etc. like closing any open programs, like Kies etc.. That’s the most common things causing the flashing failure issues.

  6. I have been runing this update for 5 weeks, and the only thing that don’t work is the e-book reader. When i try to open the app, a box pop up saying “the application will soon be available”.EVERYTHING else works perfect.

  7. Thank you very much. I have been running the P6800XXLQ2 update for some weeks now and almost all programs works OK. Only problem with viewing video and TV in the internet browser. Get a blue cube with white question mark where the video should be shown. This work fine before with Android 3.2. Have checked the browser settings which are similar to my Samsung Galaxy SIII. Have also tried other browsers (Firefox, Opera, Chrome) but only black screen. Any idea?

  8. Thanks to every one were work here,I have successfully upgraded firmware Samsung galaxy Tab 7.7 P6800 3G,from 3.2 to 4.0.4 ICS thru this website..
    Great jobs guys…
    I’m in q8.

  9. Works great!! Thanks a million for this.

It’s pretty frustrating that Samsung does not go the extra mile providing ICS 4 to all buyers of this tablet all over the world. The original 3.2 Android OS is utter crap and slow beyond reason.
Now with the upgrade at least this tablet works like it should be from the start.

Again my appreciation & all the best.
