AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note (SGH-I717) owners can now enjoy the Android 4.1.2 jelly Bean upgrade on this device. Samsung and AT&T now rolling out the firmware build number I717UCMD3 hitting AT&T Galaxy Note I717 in the United States of America. The Galaxy Note is the 1st generation of Samsung’s phone and tablet combination that is now also known as phablet. It has been a long time since this device gets newer update, but knowing this device is upgradeable to Jelly Bean, the long awaited update is finally here.
This update brings the “Premium Suite” features such Google Now, Multi-View, Direct Call, Smart Stay, Pop-up Play and other Jelly Bean stuff like Touchwiz Nature UX and more.

The I717UCMD3 is now live from Samsung Kies server, those who did not root their Galaxy Note I717 can check this update now, just grab the latest Kies from Samsung website. Simply run Kies in your computer, connect your device, then check and perform the update. This might also be push via OTA (over the air) by AT&T since there is no official changelog posted from AT&T’s website for now, but we’ll get more info on this later. So, lets wait for AT&T’s official announcement.

Popup Video and Browser: Allows user to watch video or browse the web while performing other tasks.

Paper artist: Provides an emotional & aesthetic photo editing experience.
Handwriting on S planner and email: Handwrite memos or send handwritten notes via email.
Enhanced S note: More effects & templates were added.
What to expect after the update
AT&T says that this update is only available via Kies. Notice that there is no Multi-view mentioned from the changelog, this is not the full “Premium Suite” build if the Multi-view wasn’t included. Those who has root, Kies will probably tells you that your device version isn’t supported by Kies. So, stay tuned as I will guide you how to manually update your device if it’s rooted and can’t update from Kies.
