  1. Just got my 4.2.2 update yesterday for my US Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 — best update I’ve ever gotten. Snappy interface. A few new apps that are very nice. The screen even looks sharper. My only complaint is that I’m not 100% sold on the new lock screen. But I’ll get over that. Samsung does their upgrades so well.

  2. I didnt realize the app was legitimate, since I have a lot of free app’s there are always new one’s trying to install/update. I hit accept for this 4.2.2 update and saw it was changing settings and appearance on my ipad. so i opened the app and forced stopped it. I didnt even know about this jelly bean thing with google and my samsung pad. I was not notified there should be updates of that nature so I got scared and shut it down. I was wondering if anyone knew how to restart this update since I messed up it’s process. thank you.

  3. Is there any way to back out of this update? I foolishly allowed it and it removed all icons I had added to the home screen (I still have the apps) and added a new icon bar at the bottom which I don’t need. Also the new lock screen always wants me to add a widget, which I don’t want to do.

    1. Yes you can roll back to 4.1.1 using Odin stock firmware but be careful if the recent 4.2.2 might have had a new bootloader included to it, and you’ll end-up soft-bricking your tablet.

  4. After getting the update to 4.2.2 on my GT-P3113 7″ Tab 2 the WiFi finds a connection and successfully connects it scans after less than a minute, finds the same WiFi disconnects, reconnected and repeats this over and over. I am thinking this started happening after update. Would you recomend a rollback to4.1.1 and reinstall 4.2.2? Please help, thank you

    1. After the upgrade my wi-fi no longer works either – Appears to scan for devices and then stops after about a minute – Has anyone found a fix for this problem ? The wifi used to work 100% before the upgrade

  5. The 4.2.2 has turned my stock tab 2 7 tablet into useless scrap. It continually retards itself, booting, then shutting down, then rebooting again every 30 seconds. How do I roll back this update? When will there be a fix?,,

  6. This update drains battery to the point that my tab 2 is useless. How do I rollback? OS battery usage is high and it shows a high cell standby usage when this a wifi tab only.
