The I9300XXALF2 is the first official firmware update rolled by Samsung for Samsung Galaxy S III GT-I9300 which was released in the UK. This is an update from original firmware I9300XXALE8 which the main fixes target the ‘home screen delay’ or ‘re-draw issue’ when the Home key is press.

For example.. when you where in your internet browser then you press the Home key and you’ll notice a delay or the screen re-draw itself – This new firmware transition will become flawless and a lot faster unlike the way it is before.
Also several users reported that there is an improvements on the screen brightness control which you can hardly visibly see the screen during in a high sunlight exposure, as well as the cell standby also improved a little bit (but barely unnoticeable) .
This firmware update only recently released in UK, and possibly will also soon to be distributed in all Samsung’s new flagship Galaxy S3 in major countries worldwide. For those advance users outside UK who can’t wait the update in their areas and obviously cannot get this update via OTA, you can grab the original I9300XXALF2 (4.0.4) stock ROM on the link below. This can be used for Europe regions like: Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Spain for it also packed with almost all European languages.
