HTC has just release the official Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for O2 HTC One which now features the newest HTC Sense 4+. This is offiicially announce from HTC UK twitter earlier, and now already confirmed of some HTC One X under O2 carrier in the UK and Germany with devices posses with O2_001 and O2_002 CID’s. There has no complete changelog of the full features about this update , since HTC and O2 has gotten to release it at this point. They just simply tweet to check the said Jelly Bean software update via OTA (Over the Air).
How to update HTC One X to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean 188.8.131.52
Just make sure you have fully recharge your HTC One X battery. Then just simply tap on Settings>About>Software Updates> Check Now. If you have the correct O2 CID_001 or CID_002 then you can get the update smoothly without a hitch.
How to update a rooted HTC One X to Official Jelly Bean
If your One X already rooted or installed with custom recovery, you might be in trouble getting this update via OTA. To resolve this issue, you must completely restore back your device to factory stock firmware version 184.108.40.206. Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Grab this stock RUU file – RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_O2_UK_220.127.116.11_Radio_1.1204.90.13 from here
Once restored, you can then get the 3.1.4 .206.27 Jelly Bean software build thru OTA.
