First Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update build number P5200XXUBNG2 on Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 GT-P5200 (WiFi+3G) has finally rolled out. Unfortunately, the first Android 4.4.2 P5200XXUBNG2 firmware is carrier branded and belongs to a certain network operator in Europe. That simply means that all unbranded Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 GT-P5200 may still need to wait for a while. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 GT-P5210 has been also receiving the 4.4.2 update including the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 LTE version GT-P5220.
For those advanced users who might want to give it a try now, you can simply grab the official 4.4.2 firmware build P5200XXUBNG2 and then manually upgrade your devices in no time.
Again, this update is now available in Spain and can be seen via over-the-air through WiFi connection or using Samsung Kies. Those who have been rooted and modified their Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 GT-P5200 and now wants to return back to official 4.4.2 firmware then this guide is for you. You will lose root once you install back the official firmware but the Android 4.4.2 update can be rooted.
Again, the firmware build below is a carrier branded, but I will update this post to add the unbranded ones with similar firmware build to 4.4.2 P5200XXUBNG2.
A carrier branded will also work on unbranded devices but you’ll also get the carrier welcome screen logo, carrier bloatwares or apps once installed.

The stock firmware below is only for those who did not get this update through ‘OTA’ over-the-air or even Kies and had faced issues like “Software Update Failed” or “This device is not supported with kies” and any similar errors. So again, if you want to have the 4.4.2 KitKat update installed on your Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 GT-P5200 just simply grab the 4.4.2 P5200XXUBNG2 stock firmware from the sources below, for this is your other last resort. One more thing, the 4.4.2 update now equipped with a secured bootloader which similarly found on 4.3 updates, some circumstances is that you cannot revert back to the older software update version, for this breaks the bootloader image once gets re-written. So make sure to be aware with that if you are planning to install any ROMs that still based on 4.3 , or 4.2.2. If you are also rooted then you’ll lose root once the 4.4.2 installation has made, that’s because official firmware wipes-out any modification you have made or installed in your device.
