  1. I successfully updated my phone to 4.1.2 with an international version of Samsung Galaxy S3 in Germany and it works pretty ok but when i connect it to Kies it says that my device’s current firmware is not supported to update firmware via Kies. Will this update show any problem for further updates via Kies?

  2. KIES_HOME_I9300XXELL4_I9300OXAELL4_566833_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5 upgrades fine but KIES refuses to recognise it saying its not supported for future updates via KIES. Reports its version as PDA:LL4 / PHONE:LL4 / CSC:LL4 (TMU). This was a UK phone and I flashed it with the UK firmware which you linked to.

  3. Just as Steve has written i have done the same for my phone.I have an unbranded GS3 in Germany and installed the respective ROM which you have posted online but get the same stuff in Kies. Any solution for my case?

    1. The Android 4.1.2 is a fresh update. Kies may seems not to work at this point. Samsung also gets Kies version up to date, to make it compatible with newer versions of firmware.

  4. I can’t see my comment or the replies to it… The problem is that the ROM image for the UK does NOT have the CSC set correctly or Odin destroys it. The original ROM had it set to BTU. Flashing the new firmware with Odin 3 changed it to something different.

To fix it I downloaded a CSC changer https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.manniakk.cscselector&hl=en and set it to BTU… this does an odd reset as your settings get lost but the apps still seem to stay behind. Once i’d flashed it to BTU Kies could see it and I got the ELLA upgrade last night.

  5. I was stuck on 4.0.4 (via t-mobile) until I used the english rom I know get a process that crashes, it is android.process.media any tips on fixing this without a reset? I have tried cleaning the cache, thanks David

My S3 was on Tmobie UK network was running on 4.0.4 but i had it unlocked to any network and i have been using 3 UK sim for past few months but after this 4.1.2 update it doesn’t seems connecting to network…!

    Please i need need

    1. You mean you have it unlocked it manually before?
I’m afraid it’s been relocked. You can confirm it by using T-MO SIM, if it works, then its been locked again.
To simply fix it, I want you to find the GalaxySIM unlock from G-Play store.

    2. Yh I had it unlocked manually to any network. It was originally branded with Tmobile UK network. I’ve tried using Tmobile and orange SIM card too but still no luck. Still showing emergency calls only.

  7. Hello paul, Have you found a solution to re-unlock your Phone?. My S3 was also locked to Tmobile Uk when i bought it, but i unlocked it manually with a code i bought online, I guess i should just stick with my ICS
