Samsung and AT&T has just released the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket (SGH-I727). AT&T seems can’t afford to be left behind after seeing T-Mobile’s pushed the Android 4.1.2 on their own Galaxy S II (SGH-T989). This update brings the new Android build version I727UCMC1 and packed with 4.1.2 Jelly Bean sweetness such Google Now with enhanced voice activation
Adds Browser bar, Drive Mode, ATT Locker, Mobile Hot Spot, Featured Apps widget as preloaded applications
Removes Qik and MSpot applications and Improved Call Quality.
AT&T Skyrocket 4.1.2
Again, this update is now live via Samsung Kies, so just connect your Galaxy S2 into your computer and hit that Kies and hunt down this  Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean (I727UCMC1) software update.

Just make sure your device battery has enough charge and it should not rooted.  If you root it before, you will lose root after the update.

  1. Could you make a tutorial on stock UCMC1 for me, I’m having a problem updating on Kies. My phone is rooted and seems Kies knows it, it says “this device is not supported by kies”. I tried it several times but to no avail.

    1. Hey Kyle I had this same issue and mine was not rooted, the way I did update was opened Kies as long phone is recognized by computer this will work. Under Tool option I choose firmware upgrade and initialisation. Made sure battery was fully charged. Allowed program to do it thing followed steps and about one hour later 4.1.2 JB was installed. Although Kies still says my device is not compatible with Kies 2.0 hahahaha. What is funny here is Samsung Tech support was useless in assisting me with this issue.

  2. The Kies does not recognize the latest firmware. It still shows 4.0.4 as the latest. I updated Kies to the newest version. Any help??

    1. Hi DroidAngel,
thanks for the reply. The thing is I just discovered that my device is SGH-I777, not SGH-I727. They are almost same devices, but I think they have minor differences, so this Odin Stock Firmware (SGH-I727) does not work for me.
I hope they will publish a new update for SGH-I777 too.
